Definitely worth a try especially at less than £30
3 out of 5 found the following review helpful

Pros: Good price and quite nice strings. Quick response and lively bright sound. Nice even tension, tone and volume across the four strings. I particularly like the clear tone of the G & D strings that allows double stopping to remain clear. The E also has a nice tone.

Cons: The A string could be a tiny bit less strident particularly when played open. The strings with the exception of the E haven't quite settled after 3 weeks.

Other: I have almost always always used Dominants which I will probably return to. I had the Evah Pirazzi on previously which never stayed in tune and tonally didn't suit my fiddle. Tonica strings haven't made anything other than a rubbish fiddle player!!

Really please I switched whole set :o)

Pros: Lovely tone, very competetively priced. Very impressed with speedy delivery too - thank you.

Cons: Nothing really

Other: I prefer to fine tune with adjusters rather than pegs. G D A too thick to use with adjusters I had ...but not a problem as they've held tuning well.

Pros: Easy to play string. Easily setup and keep tune pretty good. Very good string at the price.

Cons: Sounds a bit "scratzy" and closed..... but maybe it´s getting better when playing more.

The sound, the feel and the price is very good.

Pros: This is a very nice set of strings at a very reasonable price, bought for an old 3/4 violin. They feel silky under the fingers.

Cons: They have taken a little while to settle in but I'm not sure how much practice my pupil does.

Other: Arrival of the set of strings came very quickly.

Cheap and good, but not great

Pros: Cheap, not too high tension and good for digging in with my bow, whatever that is. (I'm a fiddler, so don't know too many violin terms.)

Cons: A bit sharp on the A and E strings.

Other: So I went back to using Tziganes

I'll stick with Dominants

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: I tried these as a lower cost alternative to using Dominants. But unfortunately they are not for me. The sound is dull and significantly inferior to Dominants.

Good strings

Pros: I can't say anything bad about these strings. I usually jump from these to Dominant's and back again depending on the deal. I don't notice a great deal of difference but maybe those listening do.

Cons: None

Excellent strings at a nice price

Pros: Super value and they suit one of my fiddles that is a bit fussy about what strings it will tolerate. An excellent alternative to some of the more expensive strings, without compromising on tone or quality. not yet sure of their durability but seem fine after a month or so. Recommended if you want a quality sound without breaking the bank.

Cons: They do take a bit longer than average to settle in as they stretch over the first few days but not likely to be a problem for most.
