Pros: They speak very rapidly - better than Vision or Dominants. Tone is bright but has depth, warmth and variety as well as power. Longer lasting than many competitors.
Cons: The very expensive platinum E string does not suit my violin - powerful but with metallic overtones and frequent squeaks replacing open strings.

Pros: Previously I used Eva Piratzzi but switched when I asked James Ehnes what he used after a concert. I feel the sound is warmer and deeper than EP, although I still don't sound like James!!
Cons: Nothing so far after 4 weeks of use.

Pros: I am a maker. This is the first time I have fitted Peter Infeld strings to a violin. My customer is a professional player and teacher with a beautiful old Italian violin. She says that it has made a substantial improvement to her sound. She immediately ordered a spare set !
Cons: Price ?

Pros: Smooth, even, squeak free, vibrant. Current string of choice after extensive experimentation with Evah Pirazzi Gold, Larsen Virtuoso, Pirastro Passione Solo and Vision Titanium Solo. Clearly superior on my violin.
Cons: No cons!

Pros: Settling time and tuning stability, particularly from the beginning, are unparalleled. Good, solid tone, with flexibility for a palette of colours. So far, they haven't died as quickly as other choices.
Cons: The cheapest of the E string choices is a little tinny.

Pros: Nice warm sound, very soft on the fingers. Held their tune well from the beginning.
Cons: The E string is a bit scratchy and has a wolf note on the 4th (B) which I haven't had with other strings.
Other: These are nice strings, but I'd suggest using them along with a Kaplan Gold E string instead of the E which the set comes with.

Pros: I like beautiful bright, clear, almost solo sound on the strings of Peter Infeld. I think they are very good quality in globale.
Cons: I waited for their resistance will be longer. After about a month and a half E string lost its sound quality. Also tuning of the E string is not already perfect. Nevertheless, I am with Peter Infeld strings happy, a pity that their price is not lower.
Other: May be the reason why I have to change my strings so often is I practice a lot...

Pros: G, D and A settled quickly. Made a much nicer, more mellow sound than the previous make I'd been using, and seem to give me a larger palate of colours.
Cons: The gold E string took a long while to settle and whistled like crazy - reverted back to old make for that string. Need to do more research on that string, and try one of the other choices

Pros: These strings settle down very quickly & and then hold their pitch almost indefinitely. They are very good value for money and have a lovely rich, bright tone
Cons: nothing
Other: I ordered on line one morning and they arrived in the next mornings post

Pros: Was given a set of these in Austria in July by an Austrian violinist as the Evah Gold that I was using for my new Guarnerius copy by Andrew Fairfax. The difference was amazing. Am about to change the A though the D and G are still good. Have already changed the E. The E is very high tension which made a massive difference. I think the tensions are very dependent on the combination each string...I wouldn't mix and match them and I think they are more suitable for a newer instrument...not an 18th century for example without advice. When we changed the strings we did them one at a time and it was interesting to hear the violin come 'alive' more as we put them on starting with the G. The E made a huge difference at the end. They played in really quickly although I was playing 4 hours plus a day. They stay in tune very well.
Cons: None
