The Advanced Steel E string consists of a new material that improves significantly the playability and the sound of E strings. The Wondertone Solo E has an outstanding sound volume and impressive power. The string has a very fast response over the whole dynamic range and is also non-whistling.

Pros: This string has a bright sweet sound and is excellent on the higher registers; which I always disliked playing because I thought I sounded rather wispy. It works well accompanying other sets.
Cons: Singularly the string is excellent however if you wish to buy the set, it's rather expensive.

Pros: I have just finished playing for "The Likes of Us" show and used the E string during the week. I love it and it has a really nice round sound to it. May have to buy the G,D and A now!
Cons: None

Pros: A good string that responds well in all dynamics with a powerful but beautiful sound. Settles in quickly.
Cons: When used with Thomastik Titanium Orchestra strings I would question the non-whistling credit given to this string. The surface of the string could be more refined for ease of use.

Pros: Lovely warm, full sound which matches the wondertone solo strings set very well. Nice volume projection. Good price for a very nice string. I prefer the advanced e to the silvery steel e which has a brighter less warm sound.
Cons: None.
