Description

The Advanced Steel E string consists of a new material that improves significantly the playability and the sound of E strings. The Wondertone Solo E has an outstanding sound volume and impressive power. The string has a very fast response over the whole dynamic range and is also non-whistling.

Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

No fiddle is complete without a top E
1 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: This is a top top string. It is thin and elegant. It doesn't fray like split ends and it does abrade the finger tip as you do that elegant little fixing into tune minuscule glissando. It tunes to E perfectly and stays in tune nicely.

Cons: This is a single string. If you order this thinking it is a set of violin strings, you will be disappointed and there is a real risk the sound post will fall out leaving you with something which looks like a fiddle but sounds like a man rubbing a grubby finger around a wine glass in a pub in County Clare. You will be unable to play much of the repertoire you have mastered and Bach is out of the question.

Other: I recommend this string. Its function is unambiguous and it has a friendly outlook.

Does its job correctly and fingers like it.

Pros: This is the second time I've bought this string (fitted to two different instruments) - I like it so I stick with it.

Cons: Nothing I've found yet.

Pros: Smooth sound, use these E strings on my electric violin. Much better than plain dominant E.

Cons: Nothing
