Pros: This is the best E String I've come across. I've been using Corelli Crystal for years but the quality of the E has declined - harsh and squeaky. The Pirastro No 1 has a warm responsive sound on my fiddle and even played piano will project - it also matches the other three Crystals (on my fiddle. It remains to be seen what it's life is. By the way, surprisingly for a metal E, it took a week to play in and during that week it progressively improved.
