Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Set of 4 in medium tension. Choice of steel or gold plated E. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

E-Goldsteel option: This string is more brilliant and powerful sound than the Silvery Steel E-string. This string has a different sound profile from Oliv and Obligato Goldsteel E-strings.

Using a loop end E? The use of a protector to prevent the tuner hook breaking the string is essential with loop end E strings. We cannot accept claims for strings broken by the adjuster hook. Click here to purchase this item.

Best strings I have ever had!

Cons: They are quite expensive, however they are definitely worth the price!

Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Violin Strings

Pros: These are amazing strings, much better than any I have used before. They give out a beautiful tone and don't need much time to settle. They are great value on this website and I would highly reccomend them to everyone!! The extra e string came in handy too!

Cons: The only slight problem with these strings is that they wear out a little faster than some other brands but the sound they gave out first was definitely worth it.

Superb sound quality but can have a short life.

Pros: These instantly pepped up the sound on my violin. It is a very sweet sounding violin by Laberte-Humbert but was not as powerful as some. The difference in sound was simply amazing.I am definately a convert from my old type of strings.

Cons: They don't always last very long and the quality can be variable.I have had some go after just a week's use, others last over a month.

Other: Would be a 5/5 if they lasted longer!

In praise of Pirazzi

Pros: These strings suit my violin and are remarkably quick to settle down after having been fitted. They were a real bargain and included a free E string which was an added bonus.

Cons: There were no cons!

Other: The string set arrived within 24 hours of my order being placed online which I consider to be an impressive level of service. Thank you, You will be hearing from me again when these strings wear out.

Quality strings, makes the violin sound fabulous !

Pros: Makes an average violin sound orchestral!

Cons: Some instructions for fitting would be helpful.

Other: Only attempt to restring if you have done it before or have someone with experience to help, otherwise it can be a bit tricky.

Great when working at their best

Pros: When at their best Evah Pirazzi help produce a big powerful, vibrant tone which is perfect for solo work but they also blend in when playing chamber music and playing as a member of an orchestra

Cons: The set can last well on some occasions but can loose their brilliance quite quickly (a couple of weeks on some occassions)

Other: When these strings work to their best they are brilliant. However I and several of my collegues have found the quality of the string it self very variable(the string winding breaking after only a couple of days on many occassions - NOT caused by a fault on the instrument)
