The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Set of 4 in medium tension. Choice of steel or gold plated E. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.
Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.
The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.
Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups
E-Goldsteel option: This string is more brilliant and powerful sound than the Silvery Steel E-string. This string has a different sound profile from Oliv and Obligato Goldsteel E-strings.

Great strings
Pros: Strong, balanced tone, good volume and dynamic range. Quick to speak to the slightest bow pressure and if you want to dig in with the bow, they will give you all you need. A great string. (And I have tried a few!)
Cons: Nothing, really. Stay in standard tuning and you're fine. If you want to use scordatura and twist your pegs up and down, then get steel strings for your other fiddle. (A no-brainer, but as an "old-time" player I thought I'd mention it all the same.)
Other: I try to buy them when they're discounted!

3/4 delighted
Pros: Lovely sound on all 4 strings - strong but smooth, right down to pop. Good from the start, don't need much playing in.
Cons: E string whistles - I have had to change to special non-whistling one again, which is not quite as good on stopped notes, but at least makes a reliable sound on open string.

Good strong tone and projection
Pros: I have used the A before with D and G Olive type Pirastro. Have so far been pleased with extra projection from the Evah D and G which was what I was looking for. Not sure whether they have as much "soul" yet! But overall very pleased with them
Cons: Nothing to date

Great all round - especially the gold E
Pros: The E is amazing - so shimmery! The rest of the strings give a nice, loud and generally warm sound
Cons: I've had them on for 3 and a half months with a lot of playing (final year at Uni) and they suddenly have started to sound considerably worse and I need to change them - but that's probably normal
