Pros: All the precision and clarity you would expect from metal core strings but with added warmth, usually associated with gut core strings,an excellent replacement for Helicore, fantastic projection.
Cons: None so far,if they retain their bright, rich sound without going dull over a period of 6 months or so i will quite happy.
Other: I first came across these strings trying a friends newly purchased violin (a Jay Hade)the violin was excellent and i was knocked out with the strings,so much so that i bought a set for both violin and viola,i was not disappointed.I had not tried synthetic centre strings since falling out of love with Thomastik Dominant many years ago, since then i have been loyal to Helicore heavy's until now .A fantastic string with no drawbacks so far.

Pros: Fabulous sound - big, powerful. Quick to settle in and become stable. Hold tuning well. Obviously a quality string. I really liked them.
Cons: For me and my instrument - the tension is too high. I couldn't make them work as I wanted at about a 6th or 7th up the C and G, especially piano.
Other: Using these I became aware of the limit of string tension for me and my viola. If higher tensions work for you, they are definitely worth trying. Otherwise try Obligato or Weichal.

Pros: A full, rich sound is the default, yet capable of different timbres according to the demands of the music. Stable, and long lasting, even when used in a professional capacity.
Cons: Not cheap, but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Other: Particularly seem to suit my large ( 17") instrument.

Pros: Bright, warm tone. As a 60 year old beginner, (I have been playing for less that three years) I need all the help I can get and these strings are responsive and comfortable. I don't get black marks on my fingers either!
Cons: They are rather expensive.
Other: Despite the price, I would buy them again. Price from the String Zone is very competitive, I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere.

Pros: Lovely strong, warm sound. Tuning settles quickly and they wear well. If you want to make the most of your instrument, these will give projection and bring out the best.
