Now my viola can really sing aloud!
Pros: These strings really give my 1907 English Buttcher 16" viola some oomph. I have happily fitted Obligato strings for some years, but recently acquiring other violas have realised it is a bit shy (well soft and rather quiet) Not now!- The Evas do just what "they say on the tin". Delighted!!
Cons: None.
Other: Excellent service from Stringb Zone as usual.

Excellent product information and service.
Pros: Excellent strings. These were purchased for someone as a present. Your information regarding the different sound with the aluminium top string set was most helpful and this top string gives the instrument a much more balanced sound. Had not seen this alternative top string offered previously.
Cons: The price has escallated very noticeably since the last time a set of these strings was purchased. They do however appear to wear and last better than most and are worth the additional cost for the better soundm and longer life.

Pros: Good clear sound and responsiveness - these were demonstrably superior to what I had been using for years.
Cons: More expensive, but worth paying for.
Other: There are a number of variables for quality of sound - the player, the instrument set-up, the bow, the strings and the instrument itself. Having worked on the first three, this was the next step before spending a whole lot more to buy a new viola.

Pros: I decided to go for a more expensive set of strings in the hope that they would help me to produce a more pleasant sound. They have certainly helped, although, of course, quality of sound is dependent on many factors , and involves a lot of hard work.
Cons: None
Other: It's worth it if you can afford them. How long they last is too early for me to tell.
