designed for easy one-handed use. A dial at the bottom of the case allows the rosin to be turned, to avoid creating a groove, if desired. Light and Dark rosin options available.
Light rosin is generally used for violin and viola whereas the stickier dark rosin although used by all is the recommended option for cello
Kaplan Premium Rosin is formulated using the original Kaplan recipe, which produces less dust, helping to keep the instrument cleaner.

Pros: As a teenage violinist I like the novelty opening method, but it's good stuff too and this is my second one. Not too dusty and does the job well.
Cons: Perhaps some rosin is wasted at the end due to the way you have to put it on the bow, but this is my second one. I like it.

Great grip, in a well designed box
Pros: This rosin creates an enhanced level of grip, enabling really accurate bow control at a wide range of dynamics. The packaging is great too - I'm not a rosin smasher as a rule, but if I was, the box would provide really helpful protection.
Cons: I find I have to remember to apply it every time I play including after mid-rehearsal breaks, because the grip is soon lost. This means my violin needs cleaning far more frequently too. However, it is being used on hair that was originally coated with a different rosin, so it may last longer after then next rehair.

Kaplan Rosin System, good idea and well produced
Pros: Bought as a gift for my violinist other half (so I'm not a G8+ violinist!) She likes the rosin, loves the idea of how it's packaged and the wind-up evenness of use so you stroke the bow across a different place each time. Good rosin as well
Cons: None

Clean, cool performance enhancing rosin.
Pros: Great low dust rosin that seems to work well with all my bows, fiddles and viola. The instruments stay unblemished and easy to keep clean. The package reduces the mess that some rosins cause. I use much less per playing session than with other rosins. Not to mention the very cool way you can single handedly open it - flick rosin!
Cons: After a year or three when the rosin is about two thirds gone the plastic seems to be softened by the rosin then it falls to pieces. It remains very economical so I just throw it away at that point and get another.

Too good to cut the enthusing to 50 characters!
Pros: So far I've only used this rosin once but it really did seem to make a difference. I assume I didn't become significantly less scratchy overnight by dint of skill... The dispenser is much better than most rosin dispensers I've come accross, really handy.

Good value for money
Pros: This is a handy flip top case so it can be opened with one hand, and the resin is good quality for the price.
Cons: none I can think of; it does the job!
Other: As a relative newcomer i am not able to debate the finer points of rosin quality. I wanted a dark rosin that is soft enough to use easily and this ticks those boxes.

Pros: no rosin dust or flakes in my violin case ..very easy to click shut
Cons: hmm could possibly do with a little more indication of where to squeeze the case open.
