Pros: I don't often write reviews of things I've bought but I am so very pleased with these strings that I want to tell you. I bought the 'low tension' option because I thought my old cello (Mittenwald 1876) would prefer them. It does and so do I! They are so much lighter under the fingers that I need less pressure. Quick passages and double stopping are much easier I like the gentler sonority. As I only play in an amateur quartet, I prefer a sound that blends well so I don't need 'solo' performance strings. With these I find that open notes are less strident and there is a good evenness of tone when moving up through the strings. Not cheap but really great and worth the money, in my opinion.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: I had been using my previous strings for years and started to wonder why the cello was lacking in lustre and brightness. Also the woof note was getting worse to the point where I would not want to play around that register on the G string. A friend recommended these strings and the difference was startling. It sounded like a different instrument! The new strings give a beautiful, full and round tone, such a rich and vibrant sound! I've fallen in love with my instrument again! The strings quickly settled to retain their pitch and they feel good under the fingers. I can play around the register of the woof note producing a soft mellow tone; the cello does not woof any more. So I consider the strings worth every penny I spent on them.
Cons: No 'cons' at all.

Pros: Very resonant and powerful. A considerable shock if you haven't changed strings for quite some time! Difficult to judge the overall balance of the set as still 'settling' and may just be my instrument - however, the C and G seem to have a markedly fully sound than the top two. Nonetheless, clearly of high quality and would recommend if you're looking for a 'big' sound.
Cons: Confident that they'll prove to be a very good buy when they've settled and I've got used to them.
Other: Very efficient and helpful customer service on phone. Very competitive price for set.

Pros: After a very long time spent searching, I was so glad to finally find these excellent strings. I've been using them for around a decade now, and I'm still ever so happy. They are a great all round string. I've tried the 'soloists' too, but returned to these for a better general string, capable of playing a variety of styles. They've also got a great crossover from d to g (generally a problem with lots of other setups I've tried) with a strong tone throughout the range. They last a while too- usually I'm happy to have them on for a couple of years.
Cons: They take a while to settle- allow at least a fortnight between changing them and any important gigs. And of course the price :(

Pros: Wonderful resonance and clarity from these strings. I have never before had a C string with such a good sound. And I no longer struggle with pizzicato. I am really enjoying my new strings and have just played in two concerts with them.
Cons: Not really a con, more a warning that mistakes ring out...no room to hide with these strings !

Pros: The strings help to create warmer sounds, and I find that it is easier to create a good sound in the higher areas of each string, and am obtaining better sounds on string three and four than before in all areas.
Cons: Nothing
