Clear, precise, beautiful tone.

Pros: Clear, precise, beautiful tone.

Cons: The middle two strings lack some of the colour of the outer two.

Other: Took a couple of weeks to play in, very expressive thereafter. The top string is truly wonderful.

Great strings, great price, great service

Pros: The new strings have improved the quality and the quantity of the sound coming from the cello. My son describes the new sound as 'bolder, more resonant, less squeaky!'

Cons: No dislikes

Other: I was delighted with the service

Wonderful new strings for my cello.

Pros: I've had these strings before. They change my cello into a different instrument. Such a lovely tone and so responsive. My only regret is that I left it seven years before thinking of buying these new ones! Next time I will change my strings sooner.

Cons: None

My cello sings with these beautiful strings.

Pros: Great response, clarity, and richness of sound across the whole range of the instrument, including harmonics. They feel and sound wonderful.

Cons: None

Other: Was initially confused by the thinness of the G string, which looks not much different to the D string. The difference in materials used between these strings solved the puzzle though.

Beautiful tone in both lower and upper positions.

Pros: I love the top 3 strings. Beautiful sound.

Cons: The C string needs playing in as it has an abrasive sound or maybe it is too loud for my cello. But I am persevering.

Entrancing sound!

Pros: These are amazing strings! I'm telling people they ring like church bells!..Well I might be exaggerating, but they've improved the overall sound of my cello by 100%..Fantastic resonance, depth and warmth. They were recommended by my very competent luthier who recently carried out work on my cello, and I'm eternally grateful!

Cons: The open C string is somewhat metallic, though the stopped sound is wonderful. I feel this will improve with playing in.

Much Improvement

Pros: The strings arrived promptly and have given my mid 19th century Bavarian cello a new lease of life. The have added a new depth to the D,G and C strings especially.

Cons: ! Price 2.They need far more retuning even after a fortnight than the old ones they replaced.Hopefully they may settle in due course.

Good but anomalous D

Pros: Beautiful C and G. Warm and clean

Cons: The d string was distictly different from the c and g. It was duller and muted. A string has played in well but is slightly thin in tone.

Other: I contacted the manufacturer for advice on the dull d string. They advise i buy a medium tension soloist string which fitted much better with the others.
