excellent shoulder rest

Pros: Very well made and good materials, not flimsy - feels like it will give me years of use. Completely flexible so able to twist it into shape for my personal figure comfortable on shoulder, and has improved my playing , particularly vibrato as i now feel confidant the violin wont slip off my shoulder.

Cons: its slightly bigger than others, so doesnt fit inside the violin case

Great relief

Pros: Very adjustable indeed

Cons: A bit difficult to fit into the storage part of my case

Other: Purchased on recommendation of my teacher after I had suffered severe muscle spasms caused by hunching my shoulder and gripping with my chin!

Good if complex

Pros: A good shoulder rest. Takes a little time to get all the vaiables correct, but after that it works. It corrected a posture problem which I have had for a long time.

Cons: A little expensive.

excellent for giving height under the neck

Pros: It is easy to adjust and really makes a difference to how I can angle my violin around my shoulder and importantly giving me height as I have a long neck.

Cons: It doesn't fit into my case into the slot where the old one fitted, so I have to carry it separately. The box it came in is not suitable for constant opening and closing and storing the chin rest - it would be good if it came in a more sturdy box or something like a hinged case that you get with spectacles.

Other: I'm not sure whether on your rating scale 5 is excellent or 1 - I want to rate it as excellent so will tick 5
