The Bonmusica violin shoulder rest. Pliable metal base allows for a high degree of custom fit.
This rest can be customised to a very high level and is ideal for players who feel their instrument can slip down, especially in the higher playing positions.
The hook can be moved to provide a good anchorage at the prefered playing position. Adjustable height and tilt combined with a bendable plate allow an almost infinite range and will enable the vast majority of players to achieve a comfortable playing experience.

Pros: - Good support for a violinist with a long neck. - The curved support can be bent to fit perfectly on your shoulder, or adjusted for different thicknesses of concert wear. - Unlike previous rests, the violin didn't twist away from the arm, even in long orchestral rehearsals. - It was on sale, so wasn't much more expensive than Kuns etc.
Cons: - Looks industrial rather than elegant.

Pros: I bought it as a present for my wife, Gail Williams. She had to take a fair few goes to get it to fit. A friend who uses a Bonmusica came round and gave her some guidance. Then Gail figured it out, and now it is fine. Player is happy.
Cons: Trying to figure out how best to use it. But I think this will be true for a good many people. It's a bit like trying to put up a new frame tent first time.
Other: Great product for patient players.

Pros: Adjustable, comfortable, secure. Does not fall off!
Cons: When taking violin down from playing position, you have to remember to allow space for the part that goes over the shoulder. You soon get used to it.

Great shoulder rest.
Pros: I used to have a really sore shoulder when I played violin and my violin kept on slipping off my shoulder. This shoulder rest has really helped me with my shoulder and it is very adaptable to any body type, my violin has also stopped slipping off my shoulder and it has really freed up my left hand.
Cons: None

A worthwhile investment
Pros: The greatly improved physical comfort and support holding the instrument in the correct position. Thus releasing the left hand from holding the violin up. The tone sound improved.
Cons: The metal frame has hard edges which might touch the neck.
Other: I did not like it initially but perciveered and am now very satisfied. I find that my chin feels uncomfortable. I am looking for a additional rest or cushion . But it is difficult to find a solution.
