A Premium rosin made by Cremona in America. This rosin provides a powerful, yet sensitive sound for the soloist. It enables maximized projection and extra clear bow articulation.
From spring 2020, Cremona in America replaced the name ANDREA with CECILIA. There is no change in the rosin formulas whatsoever.
Please note this rosin is now rebranded as Cecilia but is otherwise unchanged in its formulation.

Pros: I believe this is possibly the best Rosin on the market. Clearest articulation yet from any rosin I've ever used. I play on Larsen Medium strings and it suits them very well. I'm impressed with both of the Andrea Bang rosins available at the Stringzone, but this one is the perfect rosin in my opinion.
Cons: I would like to buy a larger size than what is available.
Other: Although expensive, it's worth the money for the clear sound. Great service and choice here at the Stringzone.

Pros: The rosin itself seems to bring out the qualities of each particular string more than I had previously noticed but there is a good feeling of contact and control at different bow speeds that I'm quite liking at the moment.
Cons: The rosin container looks OK but there is no cloth support and it is easy to get rosin on your fingers when you apply it to the bow.

Pros: The rosin is exactly as described
Cons: none
Other: - also worth trying 'Andrea Bang A Piacere', especially for newly changed strings. I was surprised how much difference these rosins make to my violin's sound

Pros: The Andrea Solo Rosin is a little stickier than my former Gustave Bernardel Rosin. I've not used it through a summer yet so will wait to see if it proves 'too' sticky for this time of year. Unlike the Bernardel's white powdery finish, the Andrea also has a pinkish brown colour and creates less dust. You can use it much less frequently than the Bernadel and its grip seem firmer and smoother. Definitely worth the price and highly recommended.
Cons: None, yet.

Pros: It gives my quite a lot of grip and friction. Very suitable for soloist who needs a lot of tension and volume.
Cons: The only back side is the noise and sometimes too much of grips even just applying small amount of rosin. But this can be overcome by mixing with other rosins. For example,I mixed with with Hills dark and it gives a better performance.
Other: Better store within a bag as the case is rigid, unlike the Hills which has a piece of cloth protecting
