A Premium rosin made by Cremona in America. This rosin provides a powerful, yet sensitive sound for the soloist. It enables maximized projection and extra clear bow articulation.
From spring 2020, Cremona in America replaced the name ANDREA with CECILIA. There is no change in the rosin formulas whatsoever.
Please note this rosin is now rebranded as Cecilia but is otherwise unchanged in its formulation.

Love this Rosin
Pros: There was a noticeable improvement in tone when I switched to this rosin. I actually ordered it by mistake - I meant to order the standard Andrea but added the Solo version to my cart by mistake. I'm glad I did - it's far superior on my setup
Cons: Nothing to add
Beginner
Nice tone.
Pros: Applies easily and I like the tone it helps to generate.
Cons: None
Other: The built in spreader is an interesting idea. Will see how people with far more experience than I react to it, but if it evens out the application over the whole length then I’d assume it’s a good thing.

Grade 8+
Very strong grip, use sparingly
Pros: Grips the strings very strongly (Larsen standard medium), and can achieve stronger tone and volume on the A and D, than with the Larsen standard rosin (which I'm also trying out, and which is a bit weedy - OK for softer playing - the neighbours probably prefer the Larsen rosin).
Cons: Difficult to apply just the right amount. If apply too much then faster passages in Bach end up spiccato.
Other: Use sparingly

Very powerful rosin.
Pros: Amazing rosin to bring life to difficult strings. It adds a lot of volume to the sound.
Cons: It can easily become "too much". In the G string in particular, using Andrea Solo feels like stirring mud.
Other: I used (and use) Bernardel but it fell a little short with some cranky strings. Andrea Solo woke up those strings and added loudness to the whole set. Use sparingly and probably mix with others.
