Zyex Composite synthetic core strings produce an extremely warm, rich sound.
Zyex is a new generation of synthetic material, creating strings that are extremely stable under drastic climatic conditions. Zyex strings settle in on the instrument very fast, within a matter of hours.
Zyex has a warmer sound than most other synthetic core strings, and they have excellent projection, making them exceptional for soloist use as well as symphonic and for calming down the tone of very bright instruments.

Pros: I play taditional irish music mostly, and these sound much better than the Dominant i had before as the sound is less metallic and much softer. also they adjust fairly quickly!
Cons: The sound is a bit rough for the first few days

Pros: I find them to be more suited to my violin than the pirazzi that I had previously fitted. The medium tension allows more distortion in sound when playing slow airs or laments.
Cons: Taking a little longer to 'settle down' on the instrument. They are still stretching.

Vast improvement upgrading to Zyex strings!
Pros: Compared to the supplied string set, Zyex provided an immediate big improvemnt to tonal quality of an anyway new violin. The pitched up well and pretty much stayed in tune, minmal retuning. The E was very good too. The projection has improved the violins volume whilst giving much better richness of sound from each string. String changing, subject to the everso slightly narrower distance between E & A and G & D (more noticeable for me on the E to A, is much smoother too. So far very happy with these Zyex strings upgrade as opposed to the normal Dominant strings, the decision to change is a good one.
Cons: No cons that apply to me and my expectations

Terrific sound - mellow even tone very responsive
Pros: Already reviewed once and I've bought 2 more sets. The Light Tension really suit my fiddle - really mellow and even tone throughout the range and they keep in tune well. Very responsive.
Cons: I get black oxide lines across the tips of my fingers.
