Pros: Beautiful rich sound. Very comfortable to play on and a great match with my other strings. Great dynamic range and stable tuning. More focused than the G.
Cons: None
Other: A great D string

Pros: Stable tuning, good response over range, good feel under the bow.
Cons: None with my second try
Other: The first one almost immediately cracked over the bridge, despite great care in fitting, and then did not respond well. Have asked about a refund, but nothing so far.

Pros: On my violin (a Collin Mezin) this string gives me lots of resonance and clarity. I play in several classical orchestras, sometimes with professionals and I am comfortable with the depth of tone I can get from this string. In fiddle music, it speaks easily, helping with fast playing in reels and jigs.
Cons: Might need to be replaced more often.

Pros: I changed to Zyex from Pirastro Aricore about 10 years ago and have never regretted the change. Zyex strings settle down very quickly, last well, and give a lovely tone that suits my fiddle and my playing very well.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
