Pros: On my violin (a Collin Mezin) this string gives me lots of resonance and clarity. I play in several classical orchestras, sometimes with professionals, and I am comfortable with the depth of tone I can get from this string. For fiddle music, it speaks easily, helping with fast playing for reels and jigs.
Cons: When I was doing a lot of ceilidh gigs, I needed to replace them more often.

Pros: Zyex strings are quick to respond, loud and stable in pitch. They have most of the sweetness that comes with synthetic strings, and some of the punch that comes with metal cored strings. I've used them on more than one fiddle, and they always sound good.
Cons: None

Zyex A string good tone on starter violin
Pros: Good feel to this string and improved tone of my violin, particularly for the A string, which has had a slightly harsh tone. I am pleased with the string for this reason.
Cons: String took quite a while to settle down and hold tuning. Previous Zyex A did not last as long as an alternative manufacturer but this may too heavy fingerwork by me. trying to relax more!
Other: Good prompt friendly service from the stringzone.
