Pros: This chinrest fits across the tail piece of the violin, making it more central across the vioin. This makes holding the violin more comfortable as the student's head is then in a more natural position. I also like this chinrest because there is no metal against the skin, which could cause skin irritation. Intead, it is well shaped and unobtrusive.
Cons: nothing

Pros: The centre mounted chin rest is so new, I am still settling to it but so far so good. I feel a lot more positive about my posture etc and it shows in the playing
Cons: too early to say really but none so far

Pros: This is a repeat buy as I have used the same chinrest previously and liked it. I've tried a couple of others, including a centre rest, but still find this the most comfortable. Its light and has an easy shape.
Cons: N/A

Pros: Incredibly simple to install. Very comfortable, and has eliminated all my allergy problems! The cup is a large size and the right depth for me, and it is easily adjustable.
Cons: No cons.
Other: Brilliant chin rest. Use it on all my instruments.

Pros: I wanted a chinrest that went over the tail, which this does. Good quality, easy to fit
Cons: flatter than my existing chinrest which made the violin feel unstable, so I cannot use it. Try before you buy.

Pros: Very wide and really comfortable to use. Great not to have metal touching the neck. Really easy to fit with the screwdriver provided in the packet.
Cons: Nothing - it's great.
Other: I bought this as I was getting some allergy problems from the nickel on my old chin rest. Not only has the problem now gone away, but this new chin rest is much more comfortable to use as well, and was very good value.

Pros: Low, centre-mounted chinrest which is comfortable & doesn't cause irritation.
Cons: Screw fitting can work loose over time, so you really need to keep the (supplied) screw-driver to hand - not the usual type of chinrest key.
