Centre mounted chinrest with horizontal adjustment facility. Full size violin or viola
This clever chin rest comes with a selection of spacers which allow for a height adjustment on one or both sides of up to 6mm. By using different combinations of the spacers the rest can be tilted in one direction or the other from the horizontal. This provides a wide range of adjustment to get a comfortable fit without purchasing various chin rests.

Pros: It's a lovely light rest. Centre position is good.
Cons: The fixings though admirable seem too chunky and don't feel good against my neck.
Other: It may be different on different violins.

Pros: Using a combination of 6mm and 4mm this was a very good height for me. It's also significantly cheaper than the adjustable SAS chin rest.
Cons: It's a centre chin rest which, despite my best efforts, just does not suit me. The same adjustability in a side mounted rest would be perfect.

Pros: A centre mounted rest with extra height, incredibly lightweight and adjustable, it cuts the weight of the instrument hugely. I have one on all my violins and fully recommend it.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: It was great that the height is adjustable so you can tailor it.
Cons: My chin was bruised by the second day as the chin rest shape didn't work and it's centre. Tried to adjust it to the side and in the end, I went back to using the side chinrest.

Pros: Don't know - can't assemble it to try
Cons: This is such a badly designed item. The mountings were clearly designed by a student with limited experience. No thought has been given to how the item is assembled. I like Wittner products, but this one needs completely redesigning or withdrawing from the marketplace. It's amazing to me that Wittner have never attempted to assemble it for themselves. If they had they would have redesigned it
