Synthetic core, Low C string specially designed for 5 string violins. Also a good choice for full size violins strung as violas or 14" violas

Pros: It's actually a violin C string, for a 5-string violin, with a standard violin scale length. It has a very round tone, and is very responsive too. Most other C strings are actually short-length viola strings, and they tend to be a bit "rubber-band"-y, with poor tone.
Cons: Can't think of anything bad about this string.
Other: If you're a 5-string player, check out this C string.

Pros: Great quality C string.
Cons: N/A
Other: I own a cheap chinese 5 string electric. The strings are not too good so want to replace the rest too. I'll order a set when i get paid next.

Pros: Hi Was looking for a C string to convert my 2nd violin into a viola. Had read stuff online about how using a viola C string would give unsatisfactory results - like using an "elastic band". So it was good to find a C string specifically for a violin. Very happy with this string - which is fairly pricey, but cheaper than buying a viola! Lovely deep tone, maybe not quite as good as a real viola but perfectly good sound for a beginner like me, and it's going down well with the violins and cello in my quartet. Highly recommended! Mark
Cons: A little pricey for my budget.

Pros: With the vision violin strings, produces a clear, warm sound. 'Musical silk'!
Cons: So far, nothing
Other: I am using these strings on a violin stop length Pellegrina viola. They work very well indeed.
