The Concertante 'Antiqued' is a fully hand made instrument ideally suited to players in the higher grades and beyond. This listing represents the violin only, an individually selected bow and case are recommended for an instrument of this quality.
Ranking as the best value violin available at this price, it's capable of producing a very high quality of sound in the hands of a skilled player. Appearance will vary due to the individual making and hand applied finish of each instrument. Supplied ready to play with standard factory strings installed.

This means that the instrument is worked on & improved by the luthier in our workshop before despatch. We adjust the bridge & nut for correct height, curvature & string spacing. Tailpiece and pegs are adjusted for smooth operation. In the case of outfits, the bow is rosined and checked for smooth adjustment.

Pros: Bought this violin for myself as a returning adult. Extremely happy, String Zone website provides an accurate description, a superior student violin, resonance noticeably better than its peers. I purchased in-shop where they were happy to swap the chin rest for me.
Cons: The strings are possibly a little far apart, nothing that can't be fixed however.
