a very good light rosin.
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Salchow light rosin is easy on my left ear, most are too bright.

Cons: no cons.

Other: recommended to me by a French violin maker in Canterbury.

Grippy but not gritty

Pros: Just fantastic! Why have I waited 50 years for this? My previous rosin was dark and cost 71p! Makes far more difference than experimenting with strings (sorry, String Zone - but I've tried quite a few). Just the right combination of grippiness without grittiness.

Cons: Nowt.

Rosin that changes your violin

Pros: Very much improves tone. Easy to apply powder from the bow kept to a minimum

Cons: None

Other: it's a bit expensive, but you always have to pay for quality.

Good investment.

Pros: Very good product. Clearly the result of many years development. Expensive, but does improve the sound of my cello.

Cons: Pity it doesn't come in a tin or box.

Almost like an old, and highly valued, friend.

Pros: This rosin is similar to the rosin I used many years ago when quite young. (I'm an adult returner). It is soft in the block, makes very little dust and produces subtly beautiful tones. It is difficult to be objective about it but it has that extra quality that makes bowing much easier and tone production much better. This will be my choice of rosin from now on.

Cons: None

Rosin for my Baroque Cello

Pros: Really grippy but feels smooth at the same time. I've tried all sorts including the Salchow dark, but the light one suits my gut strings best.

Cons: None
