Pros: It's a viola C string, but short.
Cons: It's still too long.
Other: Um, my daughter has shown an interest in the viola, but she is only five and small for her age. We have acquired a 1/8 violin to restring as a viola, and this was the shortest C string I could find. It was still too long; my violin teacher did the re-stringing. She said she had to chop some off, but it was better than normal, as a long string cut down is very twangy.

a good durable strings for student instruments
Pros: i ordered the shortest C (XSM) to use on a 3/4 size violin strung as a viola, the length was absolutely perfect, as only the silk should be wound around the peg. as fas as the tone was concerned, it's only a student level instrument that the string was installed on, but the tone was comfortably mellow while still being nicely clear in tone, not the most powerful string out there, but absolutely perfect for beginners and newer students up to perhaps grade 4 or so
Cons: slight lack of power, though i think that's just due to the lack of instrument size !

Pros: Attractive packing.String easy on my fingers and not too thin.Rapid response with very good sound for a budget priced string. My C is a Larson so the standard is high.
Cons: No reason not to like it.
Other: Excellent reserve string.
