Pirastro Oliv Double Bass String, D

Pros: Intense fat sound, colourful, bows well the full length of the string. Better orchestral pizzicato than Eudoxa D on my bass, but maybe less sustain. Feels like there is extra resistance over Eudoxa which I like, it sort of purrs. Very easy to just start the note and then float the bow to make the sound more transparent. It has coloured the A string to make it sound more like Oliv than Eudoxa.

Cons: I had to bore quite a big hole in the tailpiece..and the bridge and the nut. And it takes up a lot of room in the pegbox, had to reorganize. Don't think the E and B would ever fit in there sadly.
