MEDIUM TENSION, SYNTHETIC CORE.
All round, professional grade synthetic core string. Warm, round sound which closely approximates that of a covered gut string.
Recommended for violas with a playing scale of 35-38cm which covers most violas of back length 15-16.5 inches

Pros: gorgeous strings, and if I can't afford a ful set, I'll always buy their E strings to cheer up something more ordinary BUT most of all - that wonderful voice on the end of a phone at Strinzone, always patient, knowledgable, and sonorous.
Cons: zilch

Pros: Attractive tone. Have been fairly easy to keep in tune, and after a couple of weeks tuning is already fairly stable.
Cons: Quite expensive
Other: Recommended by my teacher. Unfair to compare with previous strings which were already in a poor state when I bought the viola recently.

Cons: Not yet detected any problems

Pros: Watch this space
Cons: None
Other: I have been recommended these strings by a fellow string player. I understand that synthetic materials are less prone to breakage than gut core strings. I have bought them for use 'when the need arises', as I hate to be caught out with less than the requisite four! Therefore, I am unable to give a considered opinion at present. Even so, I am always impressed by the prompt and efficient service of The String Zone.
