Description

The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.

Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.

The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.

Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

Great strings when new but..........
3 out of 3 found the following review helpful

Pros: Bright, brilliant sound which cuts through anything you need it to. Fantastic for concerto work.

Cons: I have used these regularly for the past few years and have always been really happy. However I have noticed recently that the quality and longevity is not consistent. There seems to be more dud strings creeping in. my last A only lasted a mth before the string was dead tonally and I went through 3 E's before I found one that worked well! I recon with heavy playing you get a couple of mths of optimal performance at most; not good given the price. I'm currently trialling Kaplan Amo's which I really like. Still powerful but much warmer in tone....the jury's out on longevity.

When strength isn't enough
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Strong sound, stable tuning.

Cons: G string nothing like as natural and warm as Olive label. Strong sound somehow isn't quite natural. Hard to pin down but not the perfect string for me
