Gold plated carbon steel. For extra power and brilliance. 2 tensions
The market leader in professional grade orchestral strings. Intense and brilliant sound with the widest possible dynamic range. These strings are best suited to advanced student and professional players and work best on high quality instruments.
Available in three tensions, Evah Pirazzi strings have a core made from a modern synthetic multifilament fibre which contributes to a very intensive and powerful sound. Ideally suited to orchestral and solo playing.
The strings have outstanding playability and exceptional response at any of the dynamic levels, a complex sound, rich with overtones based on a brilliant core sound and enormous projection.
Expressive, with great nuances and enormous dynamic range combined with outstanding tuning stability. These strings are absolutely insensitive to variations in temperature and humidity and are also suitable for electric violins or violins equipped with piezo-pickups

Pros: Incredibly sweet and powerful sound right at the top of the register, whilst bold and robust, yet refined at the bottom. Excellent for solo work, as well as an extremely good blender for chamber music and ensemble playing. An extremely reliable and well thought-out string. If clarity and projection is what you seek, look no further!
Cons: Can sometimes be a bit brash if not 'handled' in the correct way.

Pros: This gold e string is better than any I've used . It still struggles to produce notes at the high end of the fret . And it doesn whistle .
Cons: None .
Other: Going to use other e strings from other manufacturers to see the difference .

Pros: Perhaps it is psychological. Playing on a violin E string coated with gold reassures from the outset of a quality guaranteed to instill a confidence coming out of the mind before anything enters the ear! But from the very first note objectivity reigns. The sound is broader, some might use the term 'thicker', certainly cleaner, even silkier with good projection. Be prepared to fall in love. However, a thicker gauge (27mm) 'may' tend to dampen resonance. And please, those loop ends do beware snap all too easily. Always use a ball end, they have a hollow centre to facilitate attachment. The string blends with many other quality string makes for trueness, but as the gold coating wears, noticeably of course at the nut end, the string's trueness is quickly compromised and may even become false. But that is going to be the nature of a relatively soft outer coating. Pray that the world gold price slumps or buy several NOW.

Pros: Daughter says "It's so very smooth and produces a wonderful sound. I've been using Pirazzi strings since my luthier recommended them for my violin."
Cons: They don't last as long as they should for the price. The initial sound is a little brash and they need working in.
Other: Wouldn't go back to Dominants.
