Pirastro Schwarz Rosin

Pros: The Pirastro Schwartz rosin is a product that puts an exceptional grip on the bow, allowing me to play without needing to apply too much pressure.

Cons: None!

Pros: Good quality rosin with plenty of grip - I particularly like it for viola. I like the big floppy cloth it comes wrapped in - it hangs tidily out of the way while applying the rosin and really helps me to apply rosin without getting covered in it myself. I also really like the way it's packaged for delivery from theStringZone - the box flat-packed so it doesn't get crushed and a much stronger section of tough cardboard tube giving the rosin itself more protection than the original box would have provided. The box can be unfolded in seconds and is perfectly adequate for storing the rosin in an instrument case.

Cons: No complaints

Other: Any brand of rosin will eventually dry up so it's important to buy fresh rosin from tiem to time - long before you've actually used it all up. I generally make an annual purchase for my violin & viola.

Pros: Great sound produced. Good price but be warned about the flimsy box that I had to fold myself. The actual rosin was great and would recommend to others

Pros: A soft general purpose dark rosin with a good grab on the string.

Cons: Leaves a residue on the string but this is easily removed.
