Goldbrokat E string--a fine string at a very good
Pros: This has a sweet clear tone and seems to match other string sets well. It is also cheap enough to replace regularly. I can understand why so many people choose it, especially to replace the notorious Dominant E
Cons: None--so far

Excellent sounding string, and very reliable.
Pros: Excellent E string - have been using them for about a year.
Cons: No cons.
Other: Best E string for me so far, and very cheap at about £1.30. You can afford to put on a new one every two weeks. However, they seem to last even if I abuse them.

Pros: Great, simple E string. As simple as that... It is a bright string that may not last long but it's not expensive so one can change it frequently. Heifetz was using this E string so you why not you? I am using a medium one with Tricolore gut strings and I've tried it with Olive's and Passione. I am sticking with this one. Another great thing about them is that they are not super heavy, so they are not struggling your violin.
Cons: It would be better if they lasted longer but at this price....

Pros: Fine, bright and even tone in all the pitches. At last, an E string which is whistle-free!
Cons: Possibly not as sweet a tone as something like the Obligato E gold, but good apart from that.

Pros: Having tried many expensive "E" metal strings, I have found that these offer superb value because they have a sweet sound, respond well and are cheap enough to renew every month. Manufacturing quality is consistent.
Cons: I am not sure that they would retain their sound quality after many months playing.
Other: Exceptional value. I will continue to play on Lenzner Goldbrokat E until someone introduces me to a better string that also offers outstanding value.
