Pros: Nothing.
Cons: They took a long time to settle - 10 days - but it was not worth the wait. The tone is metallic and whistles. You need to press hard into the string to get any strength of sound and there is little tonal colour or warmth. Perhaps other violins will respond differently but I have given up on these strings and will be removing them. An expensive mistake. Will go back to Evah Pirazzi.

Pros: The E string is great. The sound is sweet and not overpowering. It whistles a bit more than Pirastro but worth a try.
Cons: The A,D and G strings take ages to settle down. Whilst a pirastro set would be almost immediately playable, this set took more than a week before it stops de-tuning constantly.

Pros: Soft, low tension, evenly sonorous on the G, D and A string. Also good warm sound.. a fairly thick (in diameter) set of strings, with an intimate, chamber music sound. Probably not one of the loudest strings, and not the most powerful solo sound, but good vibes, and good all round tone ; sweet and rounded. A highly rated string, as far as I am concerned. Not as ground breaking as the Cello A string, but a really useful default soft synthetic set.
Cons: Nothing of importance. They go a little flat in between sessions... the fact that they are low tension means they are not as powerful and immediate in response as some of the other high tech strings such as Evah Pirazzi Gold... however, if you like creating your own tension then these strings are ready to be "pushed" and have good warmth. Tonally you might find they have a thin slightly opaque veil ... a pearly filter to the sound... but highly enjoyable warmth and elasticity of sound.
Other: The Yellow and Black winding can make them look like Evah Pirazzi Gold strings. But these are much softer, and much nearer a gut string in character and tension. Larsen do other more soloist type strings... these can be considered a good starting point.

Pros: Good Price compared to others. Quick response to enquiry to trace the packet.
Cons: Web-page for ordering the violin strings were not logical, so had to try several times. Delivery was more than 1 week.

Pros: I have used these strings for the last 15 years. They are 100% reliable. They stretch to the right pitch very quickly and retain the tuning very well. They have a brilliant sound and I only need to change them twice a year. Great value for money.
Cons: None

Pros: Even, rich tone across all strings
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Other: Previous set was Evah Pirazzi. Returned to Larsen as tone seems richer, but very difficult to be objective. Once they are played in, can you truly remember the differences?
