Mellow E string tone

Pros: The Larsen Gold E string has a mellow tone which I enjoy. Probably just a personal preference because I don't like a strident E string sound on the violin.

Cons: None

Great soft sting but whistles too much.

Pros: Good sounding, easy to play, soft under the fingers.

Cons: It whistles a lot on my 200 year old Tyrol violin, has to replace it with Kaplan after couple of hours, which is a shame as I liked the sound and the comfort of playing.

A great sounding E string.

Pros: A great quality string. My daughter needed to replace Thomastik Dominant E strong, which sounded too bright on her new violin. This string was recomended by her teacher. She is very happy with ot.

Cons: Non so far.

This string's In a class of its own.
