* All strings are ball end, unless otherwise specified.
Tzigane strings have a lower tension than the regular Larsen strings to produce a more gut like response. They are designed to give an authentic sound to traditional music.
4/4 instruments only.

Pros: Nice warm tone on G and D strings
Cons: I found the A string more prone to scratches and squeals, compared to other's I've tried. I wouldn't recommend these to relative beginers like me who are already prone to producing unpleasant sounds!
Other: Thicker than other strings I've tried, I prefer the Prims I have now switched to.

Pros: The D and G stings are responsive. The whole set were playable immediately, no breaking in or weird metallic sounds like Dominants. I like the tone of the D and G.
Cons: The A string is a bit weak-sounding. The packaging is OTT, with wax seals on the envelopes; it all has to be paid for.
Other: I don't think I'll be getting these again: apart from the break-in period, they seem pretty much like Dominants. But everybody's styles, experiences and instruments are different.

Earthy, resonant. Good for folk!
Pros: They’ve worn in to be verry mellow and resonant, but not too bright. They’re the strings I’ve been looking for for ages. And no more expensive than what I was using before!
Cons: They took a little while to play in. But since then they’ve been incredible.

Best low tension strings.
Pros: Low tension, helps the G string sound powerful and resonant. Responsive, makes the violin sing.
Cons: Nothing. Really good even the E.
Other: Very good if you are looking for a better version of the original Dominant, and to get more of a ‘gut’ sound.

Amazing strings
Pros: Well, I know it’s day one, but I have just put these strings on my JTL fiddle and they are really amazing. They immediately bring out more resonance on the A and E, and the D is particularly sweet and precise under the finger. The G is great, and there is a good balance across the strings, good sweetness and bright enough at the same time. I am looking forward to them sounding even better over the next few weeks.
Cons: Nothing

Beautiful strings - smooth warm sound
Pros: Sound is wonderfully smooth, E string beautiful no harshness or squeeks. Strings don't require too long playing in - stable in different temperatures. Expressive, adaptable and suitable for any type of music.
Cons: the A string loses its richness quicker than the other strings.
Other: Since I found these have not used any other type of string.
