Professional grade collapsible rest for full size violin. The Kun features a unique sliding adjustment on both sides, height adjustment and folding feet. The wide bar gives security and comfort. Fits both 3/4 and 4/4 violins.

Pros: Overall stable and light with fine width control across fiddle. Cushion cut outs make for good adhesion to body; rubber feet balance well and have minimal effect on sound.
Cons: Not much adjustment to tilt of rest relative to back of fiddle.

Pros: Different shoulder rests work for different body shapes, so I'm sure this will be fine for some people.
Cons: However, one cannot help but feel the lack of a tilt adjustment is a major design flaw. Especially since pretty much every other Kun model includes it. A bizarre omission for something that was supposedly developed over 2 years.

Pros: The String Zone were excellent in delivery and communication, my complaint is purely about the product itself. It's a comfortable shoulder rest with height adjustable/interchangeable feet - a bonus for anyone with a long neck.
Cons: The Kun Solo shoulder has severe issues with its feet and adjustable width sliders. They're a good idea, but they're really badly designed. I've had numerous gigs and concerts where the shoulder rest has split apart with one of the sliders repeatedly falling off the shoulder rest. No amount of adjustment has solved this issue and it is completely unusable. Other Kun Models have used a different method which seems to work much better when adjusting the width. This might well be an individual issue with my particular model, but I'm disappointed paying a premium price for a sub-premium product, especially from Kun, a brand I've grown to trust over my career.
Other: I would appreciate a refund for the product.

Pros: Collapses down well to fit in case. Comfortable shape for my long neck and sloping shoulders when used with the extra-long foot on the G string side and a high chinrest.
Cons: My previous FOM wooden rest with brass fittings felt stronger and firmer, but most seem to be going over to plastic now, so I presume this is robust.

Pros: Folding legs. Comfortable . Secure. Good variety of fittings adjustment so fits my slightly wider aysmetric 5 string violin.
Cons: Not quite as good as the original and from a personal point of view I think the plastic construction looks cheaper than it probably is. The colour of the original is nicer. But this is just a cosmetic gripe. . Hence the slightly reduced rating.

Pros: I like how the claws can be closer together than other rests. It means that it can be fitted to the fiddle closer to the player which suits my weird body geometry.
Cons: Because of the above it can on occasion slip, but this is a minor issue
