Kun Original is the best for me by far!
10 out of 12 found the following review helpful

Pros: I purchased the Kun shoulder rest as a result of seeing a video on you tube from Red Desert Violin where you are shown how to adjust a Kun Violin shoulder rest. I found this extremely helpful. I'm very happy with the Kun; the best so far. It does need a bit of time to find what height and position on the violin suits you, but worth it - people have commented on the improvement of my playing both in confidence and posture.

Cons: The Kun sometimes slips off the shoulder or the chest. Once again, Red Desert Violin suggested wrapping something "grippy" on those parts of the shoulder rest. Those thick elastic bands the postman sometimes drops are very useful!

Other: Hats off to The String Zone for providing such excellent service in "test driving" various shoulder rests - and many thanks to their staff for posting things out so quickly!

New yellow safety retaining sometimes fails.
7 out of 9 found the following review helpful

Pros: I've Been using this for quite a while and it's been no problem as a shoulder rest.

Cons: The new plastic safety retention feature is no good. The shoulder rest fell down several times. I wish Kun would go back to the original rubber retaining feature, which was far more effective than the new one.

Pros: Simple but well made. I used my old one daily for 15 years!

Cons: Nothing.

Other: The newer design of the feet and rubber is much better.

Kun shoulder rest (Violin) does the job!
4 out of 4 found the following review helpful

Pros: Clean looks, easy to fit, comfortable to use.

Cons: It took a while and some experimentation with adjusting it before I felt it was both comfortable and properly secure on the violin. Some instructions to help get the optimum arrangement would be helpful.

Excellent product, well worth the money
5 out of 6 found the following review helpful

Pros: I knew that the Kun shoulder rest was an excellen product for the full size violin but was concerned it may not be so good for a 1/2 sized violin. It is adjustable and fits well, never falls off. The price offered was very good compared with other places that I looked.

Cons: No problems

The best shoulder rest!
2 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: Excellent shoulder rest. I have used the Kun Original for years and bought this as a replacement for my old one which had worn away. Comfortable and excellent support. Feet can be adjusted by a good amount. I have a long-ish neck and the Kun shoulder rest is perfect. I recommend it to all my pupils.

Cons: Nothing

Other: Excellent reliable service from Stringzone as usual.

Wish I'd bought this to start with
2 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: It's the best fit to the shoulder. Personally I find it more comfortable than the Wolfe Secondo. It also gives me more confidence that the violin isn't going to move when hands free

Cons: Nothing yet but I've only had it a few weeks

Kun Original is my rest of choice
2 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: Having tried many different shoulder rests, the kun was recommended to me by my violin teacher. It's nice to have a rest that not only fits properly but is also fully adjustable and very comfortable. I would recommend the kun rest to any violinist who is looking for a new one. Autumn, age 12 grade 5

Cons: Dad had to pay for it.
