Pros: Full sound, bring out the best in the instrument. Good for playing in a folk band as they project really well. Clean even tone.
Cons: Strings took a couple of weeks before they held their tuning. The E string has a tendency to squeak if not careful with bowing.
Other: Overall like these strings and will be trying another set

Pros: Nicest synthetics that I've used. Clear bright tone. Not too thick, so kinder to the fingers. Also I like the company's recycling scheme- I haven't used it, but nice idea.
Cons: No cons.
Other: Great service from string zone. Friendly, helpful and fast!

Pros: Started playing late in life. I needed a challenging hobby and I found one. Got to grade 4 and I decided I'd rather play fiddle style in open mike evenings than spend my remaining years trying to master harder pieces.. Decided I needed some more forgiving strings. Karneol are obviously a lot cheaper than Dominants and the like. Always thought the Dominants were very good, but the low price of the Karneols encouraged me to give them a go. I don't have golden ears but to my mind the Karneols are warmer. Bought a second set for my other fiddle.
Cons: Nothing really. Take a day or two to settle in.

Pros: I've used these strings for years and found that they give a warm mellow sound but with a bit of bite when I want it. Just washday I want. They play easily and consistently and they last very well. Tried several other strings in the past but like these the best.
Cons: The E string whistles a bit for me. Really fixed by replacing with the rather cheap and effective thomastic special e

Pros: Very nice packing and quality, I found this set of string provides very balanced tone. It can be a good substitution of Dominant and tonica. The touch is quite soft after settling down.
Cons: It takes a while to become stable, and it is fragile if you overtune it mistakenly. The E string is not very satisfying but is better than dominant 135b.

Pros: These strings are really great value. They have a warm rich sound and settle very quickly.
Cons: The e string can be a little harsh and I usually change this one.
Other: I have used these strings for a few years and after trying various others I always seem to go back to them.
