Cannot fault these strings!

Pros: These are my go-to strings for recommending to pupils and are great 'all rounders' which suit all abilities up to Grade 8+. I use them myself for orchestral playing due to their round, full sound and tuning stability.

Cons: None

Grade 8+

nice string

Pros: Holds in tune once you've put it on and doesn't stretch increasingly for too long

Cons: Little bit bright in tone for me but might well suit others.

Okay, but not brilliant!

Pros: Pleasant sound compared with others tried at the same time.

Cons: I'd like a bit more of a mellow sound; this is a tad bright for my liking.

Other: Having had a string trial last year, I chose Helicores for the C & G. With a new bridge just fitted, the existing Larsen sounded far too bright. I opted for the Helicore having also bought a Spirocore & an Eva. It's better than the other two, but I still don't feel that I've found 'the' sound that I'm aiming for.
