Pros: Inexpensive; not too heavy; good shape/support (but see cons); adequate height range.
Cons: I can't understand the claim for durability for this shoulder rest as it's worn out like no other I've used (namely Kun and Wolfe). Apparently it has a two and a half year guarantee, but this showed compromising signs of wear under two years of use. The foam padding's adhesive depleted and, most significantly, the screws wore away their plastic holes. So the legs become wobbly and you have to adjust your height lower to gain that stability back. Also, I wore out all the holes by alternating them to maximise the longevity. This was the most problematic aspect of wear as it compromises support. Perhaps I got a dud, and this isn't a criticism of The String Zone as they're a great shop, but this is my experience and it's the only one of these I've used. I will order another though because, three years later, it is finally unusable and thankfully it isn't expensive and it is good while it lasts.

Pros: One of the first designs to help the narrow shouldered violinist. Very comfortable and adjustable and not too expensive!
Cons: Nothing major to complain about - it might be slightly harder to fit this rest into a small case.
Other: Well designed and good value for money.

Pros: Reliable as it does not slip as you play. It feels sturdy and well made. Rubber ends of good quality with no risk of scratching the violin.
Cons: have not noticed any yet.
