A Top Class Rest! It really does the job.

Pros: Like yourself I have tried many, many different shoulder rests for the fiddle and my favourite was the Air Pad until my brother Bill (also a fiddler) visited me and showed his latest "Best Buy"- the Everest rest. I don't know what makes it so comfortable but almost right away I was a better fiddler... more confident, more at ease, and ready to reel! Great price as well.. you owe it to yourself to try it out-- perhaps it will also be your "Best Buy"...

Cons: No cons

Other: It is slightly adjustable and of course you can vary the angle you place it on your fiddle. Make sure you get it the right way around--- I actually had to check out the website to make sure... but that's just me.

great shoulder rest

Pros: This turned out to be very good and highly customizable, three different screw-holes to adjust width (essentially how far back or forward you want the shoulder rest to "clamp" the violin), decent screw length to customize the height, doesn't slip etc.

Cons: I'm a little worried about the plastic screwholes (maybe the threads will wear off over time) but it will take years for that to happen (maybe more than a decade)

Good price for very comfortable rest

Pros: Low price for very comfortable rest. It seems to suit many pupils.

Cons: Bit bulky to fit in some cases, but for the price that is worth it.

Highly recommended for the price

Pros: Comfortable for my child to use. Easier to put on the violin than the KUN we had before. The arms are more cushioned so less likely to scrtach the violin whilst setting up.

Cons: It's slightly bigger than the KUN for a 1/8 sized violin.

Comfort and security

Pros: very comfortable even though I have no neck! Adjustable size (moveable feet) means it doesn't slip off the fiddle. No rubber to split and need replacing on feet.

Cons: Too big to go in fiddle case as doesn't fold down

Other: Acomfortable and secure shoulder pad.

Adjustable and comfortable

Pros: Height adjustable and so comfortable.

Cons: I have to remove the rest as it and the violin do not fit into my violin case when in situ. But, this is my issue not a fault with the rest.
