Grade 8+

Softer tone

Pros: The lower tension gives a softer tone on my strident french violin.

Cons: None

Good with excellent tone
1 out of 2 found the following review helpful

Pros: Good strings and excellent tone - remains in tune

Cons: None

Other: Since the E string is usually the one that goes, I don't need to buy a full set each time. So packs of multiple strings could be beneficial i.e. 2 or 3 E strings or a choice but not necessarily a full set.

Good value and will stick with it ?

Pros: Maintains tuning soon after putting it on.......sensible price ? Long life. Sounds ok when played properly.

Cons: Can be bit loud and screechy if played badly,as can many others. I am hoping to find an e string that is more mellow without loss of ease oflaying love the sounds of the g d and a but the e seems a little harsh to me. I suppose one can abuse the other three strings and get away with it more readily than with the e string.

Other: Overall a very goodly able set of strings

Great way to upgrade a tired violin

Pros: Dominants strings will give your violin a much sweeter tone

Cons: The Dominant E string is a bit fragile compared to other makes, breaks too easily but still worth purchasing for the tone
