Dominant Violin String, D Silver

Cons: I am sorry to write that after 30+ years using Thomastik Dominant strings with complete satisfaction my recently orderd silver D is not performing. I noticed patches of discoloration on the string when I opened the package, and after winding it on and tuned it does not stay in tune, and reacts poorly to varying bow pressure and speed. It is clearly a faulty string. First time ever for me.

Other: We are sorry to hear the string was under performing. We will always try to help with a replacement from the manufacturer in the case of a clearly faulty string.

Pros: Silver wound respond quicker than aluminium wound

Cons: No cons

Pros: Dominant strings are of excellent quality and are long lasting. The String Zone is an excellent retailer and dispatches promptly. I have never had a single complaint.
