Pros: Expensive but tonally excellent; warm and rounded. Light tension for large viola, string length 170 mm, which aids articulation and ease of playing. Deceptively quiet under the ear but taped sound check louder than one would expect.
Cons: The A string is still settling - stretching - after four weeks!
Other: Extra care is needed for fitting the D string. This is always tricky but specially so with Alliance when using tweazers to pull the end through as the stabilon material can easily unwind.
