Description

We are the UK's premier supplier of Coda bows. The entry bow in the Diamond series offers advancing players a performance bow at a realistic price.

The Diamond NX is our best selling bow at this price point. It combines quality, playability and affordability to produce a bow suitable for student and amateur players at all levels.

The NX Diamond features a firmer stick than SX and GX which makes it easier to control for learners whilst ensuring a positive feel and producing an even, sweet tone. The balance point is biased toward the head which aids control when playing with the lower half of the bow.

The bow has a neutral, even feel for good control along the entire length of the stick. This helps students develop their technique on a bow without idiosyncrasies.

These bows can be rehaired in the traditional manner and as such should give no problems for a qualified bow repairer, thereby ensuring a lifetime of service equal to any traditional wooden bow.

This bow is available on our 7 day approval scheme. For details click here.

Grade 8+

Good quality and affordable.

Pros: Good balance and sensitivity. I have a problem with down bow oscillation and this bow is just stiff enough to avoid it as well as having a good dynamic range.

Cons: None

Grade 8+

Produces a high quality sound from the violin

Pros: I bought this for my son, who had only had £9.99 bows before. The difference was amazing. It enabled him to perfect the sound of his high notes and the quality of sound has improved significantly.

Cons: A lot of money to spend. However, it has been worth it to improve the quality of the sound he makes

A modern set of bows for modern strings.

Pros: Just like the others. I now have a complete set of Coda bows for use with synthetic strings post 170s. and post 1970s repertoire.

Cons: No dislikes

Other: I use pernambuco with gut strings, merely as a matter of principle.

Pros: I love playing with this bow. It's light, taut, precise. Arpeggios bow more easily and my playing seems clearer. Very easy to handle and a significant step above my previous pernambuco bow.

Cons: I've no cons.
