Beginner

A fine string for an old instrument

Pros: Excellent. Used on a very good old German violin (Klingenthal, c. 1820) and producing a warm sound with excellent projection. On this violin, as good as Warchal Amber (also a favourite) but with the lower tension which may be good for the instrument. Warmly recommended.

Pros: Warm yet focused string. Not quite as interesting sound as some other strings.

Cons: May improve sound as time passes - I have changed strings as time is not a commodity of which I have an abundance.

Other: Excellent service from String Zone.
