A fine string for an old instrument

Pros: I am a great fan of Warchal strings in general - I like the Amber strings particularly. I decided to try this low--tension string on a very nice old German violin I have, replacing the existing Amber simply because I thought the violin (200-years-plus and with old table repairs) might be grateful for the lower tension. I don't think there's much difference in the quality of the sound - the Brilliant Vintage might just be a little mellower, but I'm not sure about that - but either is quite first-rate. Warmly recommended.
