Cons: There is nothing I did not like.

Pros: Quality product, does it's job very well. Makes tuning my Childs violin much easier.
Cons: Bit plasticky, but it's only on a childs violin so function is more important than looks.

A good, inexpensive improvement to my instrument
Pros: Previously, I was using a tailpiece with individual fine tuners fitted on all four strings. A couple of these fine tuners had seen better days and were getting a bit fatigued. So I thought, right, let's just get a new tailpiece with integrated fine tuners - smart, neat, simple. The effect of this new Wittner Ultra tailpiece is that the strings are now a good 3/4 inch longer; this additional string length below the bridge has yielded a significant improvement in tone. After 30 years playing the fiddle, there are still new things to learn! I suppose it is not a completely fair test since I fitted new strings (Evah Pirazzi) at the same time as the tailpiece, but I'm very pleased with the result all the same.
