The Amber string set has been developed with the aim of achieving the sound quality of the best gut strings without any tuning instabilities. The set features W-Core®, a completely new core material developed by our Research & Development team. The E of this set is made from a special alloy with a spiral design which increases the elasticity to produce a warm sound free of whistles and metallic overtones. (Manufacturer's description)

Among the best
Pros: Dependable, suit my violin perfectly. The spiral E-string is a perfect dead mouse - it never squeaks. Love it and them. Highly recommended.
Cons: None
Other: Expensive yes but they last a long time and once settled in are very stable. These strings remove a lot of 'unknowns' while playing.

Nearly unbelievably good
Pros: Settled in within a few days. What I find refreshing is that they stay in tune remarkably well, even amazingly so. They sound nearly as good as Eudoxa wound gut strings but are extremely stable.
Cons: I am not very keen on single-wire E-strings on my present violin and although I like the Warchal single-wire E-string, I eventually changed it for a Eudoxa wound E which blends in perfectly with the Warchal G, D and A. This is probably a personal preference. I am not faulting the Warchal, which is a good E-string, but I prefer a softer-toned E-string at the moment.
Other: Overall, these are the best strings that I have used so far and I will continue to use them. Highly recommended.
