Black anodised or nickel plated fine tuner for ball end strings. Made in Germany by Wittner.
Narrow slot for violin E string. Wide slot for violin A, D and G strings.
Please choose the correct type for the string in use. We do not recommend use of these tuners with knot end gut strings.

Pros: They look very sleek in black and are very easy to install and adjust. They turn well and are effective in fine tuning. I use four on a boxwood violin tailpiece and have had no problems.
Cons: Helicore strings fit OK but when I switched to Evah Pirazzis I had to enlarge the gap a little, but this was remarkably straightforward.

Pros: Smooth adjustment, and a good range of adjustment, too.
Cons: The string slots were slightly too narrow, and needed tweaking open with a screwdriver blade: this did alarm me slightly, as the metal seemed to bend very easily.

Pros: With minor modification to the width of the jaws they fit my 17 inch Nate Tabor viola equipped with Warchal Karneol strings and Temple rosewood saddle. Lightweight and robust fine tuning mechanism
Cons: Widening the jaws to fit wider strings slightly fractures the sides at the base of the hooks. Yet to see if its a problem in the long term but they work well for now.
