The Sattler Strad-Pad is a soft latex pad suitable for most sizes of chinrest. The pad is fixed to the chin rest with a velcro pad (or, where described on our listing, by an elasticated strap) for easy transfer between instruments and removal for washing. The large pad extends over the metal fixing brackets to alleviate skin irritation from nickel fittings.
Full fixing instructions enclosed. Play with poise, assurance and comfort!
PLEASE NOTE: NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH A LATEX ALLERGY

don't bother
Pros: slight cushioning effect on the chinrest itself
Cons: didn't actually cover the metal rods of the chinrest so not much use as far as safeguarding against allergy to nickel Looked very cheap and nasty
Other: We are sorry to hear the pad didn't work out for you, we do recommend the 'Large' pad if you need the metal pats to be covered. You are welcome to make a return under our standard terms.

Pros: I suppose it does act as a cushion, but see below.
Cons: Very poorly made. Maybe this is produced in someone's back shed? The edge of the pad is ragged, and the surface is pitted. On the packet, it says, 'For that "Professional" Look!' I don't think so. I prefer not to spoil the appearance of my not-so-expensive violin.
Other: Looks a bit like a chocolate pudding. Sorry to be so negative.

Pros: Very comfortable and easy to attach. I no longer get a red mark on my neck. I also like that they are washable. I have recommended them to pupils.
Cons: They smell a little funny at first, but this goes away after a week or so.
